Jennifer BerlinAndrew M. (Andy) Crocker

Andy Crocker is Space Systems Branch Manager (Space Division) at Dynetics, Inc. Mr. Crocker has extensive experience with both small, entrepreneurial aerospace firms which were heavily supported by government small business opportunities, and mid- and large-sized aerospace firms which thrive on innovation in both government and commercial space contracts.

In his current role at Dynetics, Mr. Crocker is responsible for the design, development, manufacturing, test, and delivery of space systems for NASA, commercial, and DoD customers. He also directs business development efforts related to space propulsion systems. He leads Google Lunar X-Prize propulsion subsystem design and development activities for the Rocket City Space Pioneers team.

Mr. Crocker is responsible for management of Dynetics' Ares Upper Stage subcontract to The Boeing Company, where Dynetics provides engineering and technology expertise for liquid thrusters and solid rocket motors and is preparing for production of key flight hardware. Before Dynetics acquired the company in December 2009, he managed Orion Propulsion's Mentor-Protégé Agreement with Boeing through NASA, for which Orion was selected as Small Business Subcontractor of the Year at NASA Marshall for 2009.

Mr. Crocker also served at other innovative, startup aerospace companies. He managed Andrews Space's 2nd Generation RLV and Next Generation Launch Technology contracts with NASA and became Manager of Andrews Space's Huntsville Operations, where he was responsible for strategic leadership, program and resource management, and business development. He also was involved in starting SpaceWorks Engineering, an independent aerospace analysis firm, where he led advanced space vehicle concepts.

Mr. Crocker has also held senior positions in engineering and business development at Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne and Aerojet, where he has typically been focused on propulsion and space system technology development activities.

He has undergraduate degrees from North Carolina State University and graduate degrees from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Florida.
